KYOCERA SGS' KGZ PRECISION CUT-OFF SOLUTIONS
22 Nov,2024
The KGZ series cut-off system is a cutting-edge solution designed specifically for the challenges of small parts machining with enhanced stability, efficiency, and repeatability.
Cut-off operations often face high machining loads and tool rigidity issues, leading to problems like chatter, insert and holder damage, and inefficient machining. If not addressed, cut-off operations can quickly become a bottleneck within these small part manufacturing processes. The KGZ series addresses these challenges with a unique body and clamp design that ensures stable machining and minimizes chatter. This results in far better surface finishes and more consistent tool life, making the system ideal for high-precision applications where quality and reliability are most important.
In addition to improving finish and stability, the KGZ series enhances overall machining efficiency and dependability. The system features fast and secure insert installation, making it easier for operators to manage tooling without extensive downtime. This easy insert management, combined with the system’s durable toolholders, ensures that manufacturers can rely on the KGZ series for consistent performance and lower operational costs in small parts machining applications.
Choose from 4 chipbreaker options for low to high feed machining or opt for the sharp edge style for low cutting forces. These new inserts feature Kyocera’s latest PR20 series insert coating technology designed for grooving and cut-off applications and are engineered to be more resistant to wear in a variety of materials, significantly reducing the frequency of tool changes and contributing to a smoother, uninterrupted machining process. The KGZ comes equipped with a large arsenal of holder sizes and direct-to-turret, jet coolant-through styles available.
