Three months, three disciplines, 100 prizes

The Schaeffler Triathlon celebrates its anniversary: For ten years, employees have been participating in the joint health campaign "Fitmachen und Gewinn" of the Schaeffler Works Council in cooperation with the partner health insurance company Barmer. Now the starting signal for the 10th edition, which lasts until 14th September, fell. In the three disciplines of cycling, swimming and running, the employees of the Schaeffler locations in Schweinfurt, Eltmann and Kitzingen complete at least 20 sports units and win twice: on the one hand personal fitness is increased, on the other hand 100 attractive prizes will be raffled among all participants , Since 2009, the fitness triathlon has been organized by the Schaeffler Works Council, the Disabled Employees' Representation in Schweinfurt and the Barmer and supported by the Schaeffler Human Resources Department.

Dr. Josef Scheller, Plant Manager Location Schweinfurt, sees this action as extremely positive: "Every year, many employees take part with great success. This benefits every single one, but also the entire company. In addition, the year 2018 is our Schaeffler Year of Health. Here each quarter a respective focus is set such as education on exercise, nutrition and relaxation issues. There are various events such as the health days with fitness check and hands-on stations and just now the action started, Fitmachen and winning '.

Also the Schweinfurt works council Mariusz Kaczmarski, responsible for the project, is pleased about the consistently high response to this action, in which every year about 1,000 employees participate. On the participation card, the training sessions will be documented and whoever submits his card until October 1st at the latest will receive a practical first aid kit on the way as a thank you for participating.

Win attractive prizes

In the fall, the winners of the health promotion will then be drawn: The main prize of the 100 attractive prizes is a one-week health trip with prevention courses in a Baltic spa clinic for two people. In addition, the athletic Schaeffler employees can win two nights at the Bad Elster clinic, two nights in the Baltic resort of Wustrow, and a number of prizes.
