Technofast Industries’ EziTite split bearing setters reduce the maintenance time for conveyors and other materials handling machinery by removing the need to disassemble the equipment to replace or reset bearings.

Custom engineered for specific applications, the split bearing setters feature an e-skin flat energy supply system, dial gauge mounting point as standard, visible maximum stroke indicator, custom thread sizes, and designs for individual applications.

Technofast CEO John Bucknell said bearing manufacturers estimate poor fitting causes about 16 per cent of all bearings to fail prematurely.

“We developed the EziTite Bearing Setter range to employ precise hydraulic power to guide bearings into place effortlessly, providing optimum preload as required, giving safe, user-friendly operation with accurate bearing mounting and high repeatability to ensure reliability,” Bucknell said.

The setter has a simple and safe operating method. It is screwed by hand onto the shaft or adaptor sleeve until the bearing’s inner race is tight against the base. The bearing is then driven onto its tapered mount by applying hydraulic pressure.
