NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) hereby advises that it has received the “New Energy Foundation Chairman Award (field of products and services)” for “NTN Micro Hydro Turbine” at the “New Energy Awards 2019” hosted by the New Energy Foundation.

The awards recognize outstanding new energy-related products, services, and implementation activities, with the aim of promoting the introduction, popularization, and enlightenment of new energy sources.

“NTN Micro Hydro Turbine” is a small type hydroelectric generator that can generate power with high efficiency simply by placing it over existing water channels. NTN received the awards as the product promotes using renewable energy in areas where power infrastructure is not yet in place in addition to the creativity of its technologies.

In recent years, awareness for global warming, climate change, natural disasters, etc. has increased worldwide. The use of renewable energies, which contribute to reduce CO2 emissions, has been also expanding. Through the development and sales of natural energy products, NTN aims to promote the use of renewable energies and realize a sustainable society and “NAMERAKA* society.”
